FSI (Floor Space Index)
FSI (Floor Space Index), also called FAR (Floor Area Ratio), is the ratio of the total built-up area permitted on a plot to the plot area. It determines how much you can build on your land.
Explained Simply
If your plot is 2400 sq.ft. and the FSI is 1.5, you can build a maximum of 2400 × 1.5 = 3600 sq.ft. of built-up area. FSI varies by local body, road width, zone classification, and plot area. Different zones (residential, commercial, industrial) have different FSI limits. Buildogram's plan review checks if your plan's built-up area is within the permitted FSI.
