PCC is Plain Cement Concrete — concrete without any steel reinforcement. It is typically used as a leveling bed (blinding layer) below structural foundations.
Explained Simply
PCC is the first concrete layer poured at a construction site — typically 75–100mm thick M7.5 or M10 concrete poured on the compacted earth or crushed stone beneath the foundation. It provides a clean, level surface for the structural foundation concrete to be placed on and prevents contamination of the structural concrete by soil.
